If you were hoping to get your hands on the new Messina The Holy Trinity Easter Eggs in time for the Easter long weekend, we’ve got some bad news for you.

After releasing just last week, the shopping-stopping gelato eggs are now sold out.

In true Messina fashion, the edible eggs have took inspiration from this year’s best flavour specials and turned them into show-stopping limited edition gelato cakes.

The box of three eggs included:

Lord Lamington – filled with coconut gelato, raspberry gel, coconut and chocolate dacquoise, milk choc parfait and dipped in a red chocolate glaze and dessicated coconut.

Saint Pistachio – filled with Italian nougat and chocolate honey gelato and a pistachio fudge that mimics the look of a real egg yolk.

Holy Hot Cross Buns – filled with gelato that has been cooked with hot cross buns and toasted and spiced buns. The centre is filled with dulce de leche and coated in a milk choc glaze.
