Add a salt rim

If you want to add a classic salt rim to your margarita, fill a plate with a layer of salt. Rub a piece of lime around the rim of the glass and dip it into the salt.

A little sweetener

If the sour taste of the classic margarita is a little too much for you to take, add a teaspoon of a simple sugar syrup for a dash of sweetness. This can be easily made by dissolving equal quantities of sugar and water together, then cooling the mix in the fridge.
